SADORUS - An Ivesdale woman was taken to a hospital Wednesday night after the car she was driving rolled over.
Champaign County Sheriff's Sgt. Dave Coffey said Michele Crump, 49, told a deputy she swerved to miss a deer as she drove west on County Road 500 N near 375 E. The car rolled over and hit a ditch but Crump was wearing a seat belt and remained inside.
She was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana after the crash, which happened about 9:40 p.m. She was treated and released.
Coffey said Crump was given tickets for driving under the influence, improper lane usage and not having valid registration.
