LINCOLN-National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, in effect from noon to 7pm Monday, for east central Illinois. Air temperatures are forecast to reach low to mid 90's Monday afternoon. Along with high humidity, heat index values could reach 105 to 110 degrees. It is recommended that you drink plenty of water, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, check on family members and neighbors, and bring pets inside. Watch for heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
