Open house to focus on jobs in health industry
CHAMPAIGN — Residents interested in working in the health industry can check out career paths during an open house at Parkland College.
The college's health professions open house will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at the main campus, 2400 W. Bradley Avenue, C, and at Parkland College on Mattis, 1315 N. Mattis Ave., C.
Visitors will be able to take tours of the Health Professions Department's learning facilities as well as pick up information on its 14 programs: dental hygiene, nursing, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, veterinary technology, dietetic technician, dietary manager, emergency medical services, massage therapy, medical assisting, nurse assistant, occupational therapy assistant and practical nursing.
There will also be medical demonstrations and an opportunity to meet with faculty.
