PHILO — Burglars made off with liquor in a break-in at a Philo convenience store early Saturday.
Champaign County sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Vercler said deputies responded about 1:15 a.m. to an alarm at the Casey's General Store, 408 N. Lincoln.
They found the front door shattered and learned that several bottles of whiskey, vodka, and gin, with a total value of about $235, had been stolen. Damage to the front door was estimated at $250, Vercler said.
Deputies made no arrests.
