Urbana woman who had been reported missing has been found

UPDATED 7:40 p.m. Wednesday

URBANA — Urbana police announced on Wednesday night that a woman with cerebral palsy who has been missing since Tuesday has been found.

Police said earlier on Wednesday that Deja Ellzey, 23, was at the Urbana Free Library at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday and had been last seen on video walking east from the library in the direction of the Champaign County Courthouse.

Urbana police Lt. Bryant Seraphin announced on Wednesday night that Ellzey had been located, found to be in good health and reunited with her family members.

"Ms.Ellzey had been with a friend unknown to her family; further details are not being released," Seraphin said in a written statement.

Seraphin said the Urbana Police Department thanks the community for its concern.
