I-74 rollover sends St. Joe driver to hospital

MAYVIEW — This morning's patchy freezing drizzle, combined with a light dusting of snow, caused a St. Joseph woman to lose control of her vehicle on Interstate 74.

Illinois State Police said Layla R. Hanna, 36, was driving west on I-74 east of Urbana about 4:35 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered highway.

The vehicle ran off the road into the ditch and rolled over several times before coming to rest on its side. Hanna was wearing a seat belt, police said.

She was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital, where she was treated and released, police said.
