Building demolition to close Fairchild in Danville for two days

DANVILLE — The city's public works department is closing Fairchild Street between Collett Street and Jewell Street on Monday and Tuesday for building demolition.

City crews will demolish the structure at 809 E. Fairchild St., which will require closing Fairchild at the intersection of Collett Street during the day. The closure means traffic will not be able to travel either direction at this intersection. Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and use other routes. For more information, contact the public works department at 431-2288.
