Police investigate reported armed robbery in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating a reported armed robbery Monday night in Champaign.
According to Champaign police Sgt. Bruce Ramseyer, officers were called to a home in the 700 block of North Randolph Street at 9:20 p.m. after an 18-year-old Champaign woman reported a man had put a silver semiautomatic handgun to her head and demanded she give him money.
The woman told police that the man took some cash and drove away in a white sport utility vehicle. He was last seen driving away north on Randolph Street.
The description of the robber was incomplete.
Police said the woman was not injured.
