Clothing, food drive planned in Champaign to help people in Harrisburg

CHAMPAIGN — An area church and two businesses are teaming up to collect clothing and other items for residents affected by this week's tornado damage in Harrisburg.

Faith United Methodist Church, Two Men and a Truck, and the Illini Radio Group are joining forces to collect tornado relief supplies and take them to Harrisburg, where they will be distributed by the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church.

Organizers of the drive are asking for donations of clothing in good condition, blankets, non-perishable food items and cash.

Donations will be collected in a Two Men and a Truck moving truck at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1719 S. Prospect Ave., C, at the following times:

— 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

— 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

— 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.
