CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police are looking for a man who tried to hold up another at gunpoint at a northwest Champaign business late Friday morning.
Police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said about 11:45 a.m., a man tried to rob another man iat the clothing business at 301 W. Bloomington Road. The address used to be home to a bread store.
"He tried to rob the employee, not the business, and was last seen running away west from the store. No one was hurt," said Dunn.
The robber displayed a handgun to a 52-year-old Champaign man, she said.
The robber was described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing black pants, a black T-shirt, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, a black bandana and black framed glasses.
