Loda man injured in crash

THOMASBORO — A Loda man was injured Thursday morning in a crash in rural Thomasboro.

According to a state police report, Paul R. Anderson, 53, of Loda, was driving a 2000 Isuzu sport utility vehicle south on Interstate 57 west of Thomasboro when he was being passed by a second southbound vehicle at 7:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police said Anderson was attempting to make a lane change when he suddenly noticed the second vehicle. Anderson swerved to avoid a crash and over-corrected, causing the SUV to go into the median and roll over. The SUV came to rest in the northbound passing lane of Interstate 57.

Police had no information on the second vehicle.

At that moment, Samantha A. Conlee, 24, of Savoy, was driving a 2007 Mini-Cooper north on Interstate 57 when her vehicle was struck by debris from Anderson's car.

Anderson was taken by ambulance to Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, which had no information on his condition on Thursday evening. Police ticketed Anderson for improper lane usage.

Conlee was not reported injured, according to police.
