UPDATED 4:35 p.m.

URBANA — A Champaign man who allegedly forced his way into a neighbor's home and hit two men there has been charged with home invasion.

Noble Shane Moore, 45, who listed an address in the 1400 block of Comanche Drive, was charged Tuesday with the Class X felony in connection with an incident Friday.

Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle said about 8:15 p.m. Friday, Moore allegedly forced his way into another home in the 1400 block of Comanche, upset that his girlfriend was reportedly consuming drugs with the men there.

Ogle said Moore allegedly hit both men, ages 53 and 54. They were treated at Carle Foundation Hospital for what he described as minor injuries. Moore was arrested Monday evening.

If convicted of home invasion, Moore faces penalties ranging from six to 30 years in prison.

Moore’s bond was set at $25,000. His next court appearance was set for June 12.
