Missing Champaign man found in Indiana

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police said a  62-year-old man who left the Heartland Health Care Center in Champaign Monday morning has been located in Terre Haute, Ind.

Champaign police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said Wednesday afternoon that  James Stout, 62, was found unharmed at a  home there. Sgt. Dave Griffet said he believed that Stout took a bus to the home of a relative.

On Monday morning Stout told the staff at the center, located at 309 E. Springfield Ave., that he was heading outside to smoke but didn't come back.

On Tuesday, police put out a plea for help locating him.
