Two arrested in Danville armed robbery

DANVILLE — Two men are in custody Tuesday, awaiting arraignment on felony charges in connection with the armed robbery of a Danville business on Monday.

Stephen Lucas, 24, and Jordan Parrish, 21, both of Danville, were arrested late Monday morning after Danville police found them hiding in a wooded area, after an armed robbery at A Plus Properties, 807 E. Voorhees St., Danville, according to Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason.

Danville police were called to the business at 10:50 a.m. Monday just after two men robbed it and fled north. According to an office worker, two men came into A Plus Properties, Inc., and demanded money, and one was armed with a handgun, according to Thomason. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the men ran out, according to Thomason.

Officers and a K-9 unit began tracking in the direction the men had gone, according to Thomason, and about 15 minutes after the robbery, they found two men hiding in a wooded area in the 600 block of East Voorhees Street. Lucas and Parrish were arrested on preliminary charges of armed robbery.
