Arthur man listed in critical condition following crash

GARRETT TOWNSHIP — An Arthur man was listed in critical condition on Friday night following a crash in rural Douglas County.

According to a Douglas County sheriff's report, Mike Myers of Arthur was driving a car that rolled over and crashed near 810 N. County Road 250 E in Garrett Township sometime before 5:11 a.m. Friday.

Myers was thrown from the car he had been driving and was taken by Airlife helicopter to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where he was listed in critical condition.

The crash was still being investigated by the Douglas County sheriff's office on Friday evening. Police had issued no tickets in connection with the incident as of then.
