Police arrest man near pool for indecent exposure

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police arrested an Ogden man Friday who was allegedly exposing himself while watching women at a swimming pool in the campus area.

Sgt. Tom Frost said several college-age women were at a swimming pool in the 900 block of South First Street in Champaign about 2:30 p.m. Friday when they noticed a man standing across the street who had his genitals exposed.

Frost said Matt Jacobson, 29, was arrested for disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.

Police found him standing inside a parking garage at an apartment complex in the 100 block of East Daniel Street across from the pool.

Frost said several women reported seeing the man standing there for several minutes.

Jacobson posted bond and was released from the jail later Friday. He's expected to be formally charged later.
