Arby's employee robbed in parking lot

RANTOUL — A man with a gun stole money from an employee in the parking lot of a Rantoul fast food business Sunday evening.

Rantoul police Sgt. Justin Bouse said officers were called to Arby's, 760 W. Champaign Ave., at 10:38 p.m.

A man who displayed a silver handgun approached the employee in the parking lot and demanded money, and the employee complied.

The robber then ran north from the parking lot toward the Super 8 Motel. Police searched the area but couldn't find the man. The description of the man was incomplete.
