UI police seek man who may have been photographing youths

URBANA — University of Illinois police are seeking information on a man who was possibly taking photos of high school students in a men's room at the Illini Union last month.

On Saturday, May 5, the Union was host to a "Mathletics" math competition for high school students from around the state. Several students reported seeing a suspicious man inside the west hall men's room on several occasions throughout the day.

Witnesses reported that the man appeared to be using a black flip-style cell phone to take photos of students.

He is described as white, about 50 to 60 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with gray hair and a receding hairline, partially parted to the right.

He was wearing dark jeans, shiny black shoes and a faded light blue or green T-shirt.

It doesn't say anything about "BURGLARY."

When they originally put this article up, it said "If you have any information regarding the burglary, please contact..."


They changed it after I made the comment, cause it was obviously a "TYPO".
