Champaign cancels some summer school classes, plans for early dismissals Thursday and Friday

Because of expected high temperatures Thursday and Friday, Champaign schools have canceled Middle School Summer School S.M.A.R.T classes and math enrichment classes for those days, according to a release from the school district.

The ESY functional life skills support class will go on as scheduled. Parents with questions can contact Sara Powell, principal for Middle School Summer School at Central High School. The phone number is 351-3932.

Champaign's summer school for high school students will remain in session Thursday and Friday, but will be dismissed at 10 a.m. High school summer school will remain in session due to attendance requirements for the credit-based classes. Parents with questions can call Paul Ranstead, principal for High School Summer School at Central High School at 351-3932.
