Champaign man stabbed

CHAMPAIGN — A Champaign man reported being stabbed Wednesday night.

Champaign police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said about 11:20 p.m., officers were sent to a home in the 600 block of East Vine Street, where they found the 28-year-old man lying in the yard.

He reported being stabbed by someone he didn't know and was not able to give police a description of his attacker.

Dunn said the man was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital but officials there had no information on his condition. Police would not release where on his body he was stabbed or how it happened.
