Another Excessive Heat Warning issued for East Central Illinois

     The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for East Central Illinois, in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday.

     Counties under the advisory include Champaign, Vermilion, Douglas, Edgar, Coles, Shelby, Moultrie, Piatt, DeWitt and Macon.

     Temperatures will be in the upper 90s this week, with heat index readings as high as 110.  You should take the necessary steps to beat the heat this week:  drink plenty of water, stay in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible, and be sure to check on kids, pets and the elderly often.
