Construction to close part of St. Mary's Road for six weeks

A portion of St. Mary's Road will be closed for about six weeks starting Thursday.

Beginning at 7 a.m. that day, the road will be closed in both directions between Fourth Street in Champaign and Lincoln Avenue in Urbana for road improvements.

Besides motor vehicle traffic, pedestrians and bicyclists will not have access to the road. It is expected to reopen Aug. 23.
