Suspect sought in armed robbery at Rantoul Arby's

RANTOUL — Police need help solving an armed robbery that happened June 10 at the Arby's restaurant at 760 W. Champaign Ave.

About 10:30 p.m., employees reported they were confronted in the parking lot by the robber after they had closed the store.

They described the gunman as a black male, wearing a black "do-rag" on his head, a handkerchief covering his face and dark clothing. He was described as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build.

He showed a handgun and demanded money from the employees, then ran away after they gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
