Man still in hospital after motorcycle crash

DANVILLE — A Pennsylvania man remained hospitalized Tuesday with injuries he received in a motorcycle crash Monday morning.

Illinois State Police at Pesotum said Ronald E. Delbarre, 58, of Dawson, Penn., was driving his motorcycle southeast on the exit ramp from Interstate 74 eastbound to Illinois 1 when he ran over gravel and lost traction.

The motorcycle traveled off the road and into the east ditch, where he struck an embankment.

Delbarre was thrown from the motorcycle. Police said he was wearing a helmet.

He was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana where he was listed in good condition Tuesday.

Police said no tickets were issued in the accident, which happened at 9:12 a.m.
