Heat Advisory continues through this evening

     The hot and muggy conditions continue in East Central Illinois, and the Heat Advisories are continuing as well.

     The following counties remain under the current advisory, running through 7 p.m. Wednesday:  Macon, Moultrie, Douglas, Coles, Edgar and Shelby.

     Starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Ford and Iroquois counties will be added to the Heat Advisory, running through 10 p.m. Wednesday.

     Starting at 12 noon Wednesday, the following counties will be added to the Heat Advisory, running through 7 p.m. Wednesday:  DeWitt, Piatt, Champaign and Vermilion.

     High temperatures are forecast to range from 99 to 107 throughout East Central Illinois on Wednesday.  It will feel as hot as 110 with the humidity level in places.

    These very hot conditions will increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.  Drink plenty of fluids, especially water. Stay in an air-conditioned room or shade whenever possible.  Check on family members, pets, friends and neighbors, especially the elderly.  And don't leave children or pets in a parked car, even with the windows down.
