Cornbelt firefighters respond to two trailer fires

MAHOMET — Firefighters from the Cornbelt Fire Department put out simultaneous fires in camper trailers a few blocks apart from one another late Monday night.

According to METCAD, firefighters were sent to a fire in a camper trailer about 11 p.m. Monday in a driveway in the 900 block of Penny Lane in Mahomet.

While firefighters were putting out that fire, they were also sent to a trailer on fire in the 800 block of Riverside Drive.

Bondville firefighters were sent to the Cornbelt fire station to stand by until the two fires could be put out.
