Missing 13-year-old Champaign girl home safely

CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police say a teen-age girl who was reported missing last week has returned home.

Police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said Jamona Collier, 13, returned home safely on Monday after media reports of her being missing were published.

Collier's grandfather reported her missing on Thursday after having last seen her on Aug. 7. She left home without permission.

Dunn said police had no information about where she had been.

I certainly hope this child is punished for leaving home WITHOUT permission and causing so much conern to her family that they contacted media to help find her!!!!!!!  She should be grounded!
