Teen accused of DUI after crashing truck east of Rantoul

FLATVILLE — A Rantoul teen was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing his pickup truck early Wednesday.

A report from the Illinois State Police at Pesotum said at 3:22 a.m. Justin T. Anderson, 18, was driving south on County Road 2100 E when he missed a jog in the road at U.S. 136, traveled across highway and into a ditch.

The report said Anderson was not wearing a seat belt.

He was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital by ambulance.

He was ticketed for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
