Parade to close Urbana streets

URBANA — Some streets in Urbana will be closed on Monday morning for the Champaign County AFL/CIO's annual Labor Day parade.

The parade is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.

Illinois Street will be closed to through traffic between Race Street and Vine Street for the parade staging area from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The parade will begin at Illinois Street and Broadway Avenue and will proceed south on Broadway Avenue to Washington Street and east on Washington Street to the Brookens Administrative Center.

Each street along the parade route will be reopened after the parade passes through the intersection.
