Rantoul man charged with possession of child porn

URBANA — A Rantoul man has been charged with possession of child pornography for allegedly having videos of a teenage girl on his computer.

Davien Emling, 23, who listed an address in the 1100 block of Falcon Drive, was charged with the felony offense after Rantoul police found a computer at his home that contained videos taken of a teen he knew that were taken without her knowledge with the use of a computer webcam.

Assistant State's Attorney Duke Harris said the case came to the attention of Rantoul police Tuesday when they were summoned to Emling's home for a domestic dispute.

The charge against Emling is a Class 2 felony carrying potential penalties upon conviction ranging from probation to three to seven years in prison.

Judge John Kennedy set his bond at $25,000 and ordered him to be back in court Oct. 23.
