Street closures planned for beer tasting, chili cookoff

URBANA— Street closures are planned on two downtown Urbana streets for the International Beer Tasting and Chili Cookoff this weekend.

South Broadway Avenue between Elm Street and Main Street and Main Street between Broadway Avenue and Walnut Street will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday. The streets are scheduled to reopen at 1 a.m. Sunday.

In addition, the east side ground level of the downtown Urbana parking deck will be closed from 5 a.m. Saturday through 1 a.m. Sunday.

While it's always helpful to know when streets will be closed, I think a post like this should also include a link or a little information about the event itself.  A click on the tag turned up no other tagged articles about the cookoff, and a search of the website turned up listings for past years.
