Catlin seeks applicants for village clerk

CATLIN — Village officials are seeking candidates interested in becoming Catlin's fourth village clerk after Michelle Carter steps down on April 30, 2013.

Applications and a list of job requirements are availbale in the village hall, and completed applications must be returned by 5 p.m. on Oct. 19 to be considered for the job.

Carter has served as village clerk for seven years. Mayor James Robinson said he will hate to see her go, and that she will be difficult to replace.

Village workers will soon begin regrading the north section of the village park. Board member Kevis Kirk said the grassy area north of the pavilion in the park is so high that rainwater stands on the concrete pad of the pavilion.

The police department is considering replacing the 2006 Crown Victoria squad car with a 2013 Dodge Charger. The new car would cost about $22,300.
