Police investigate armed robbery in Urbana

UPDATED 11:10 p.m.

URBANA— Police are investigating an armed robbery at an Urbana convenience store on Monday night.

Police say that two men entered the Circle K, 1821 Philo Road, at 10:11 p.m. Monday.

One of the men displayed a gun. After taking some cash and cigarettes, the two men ran off on foot, police said.

Nobody was reported hurt, according to police.

The description of the robbers was incomplete.

Other details were not immediately available.

I work in this area of town. This is the second robbery in as many weeks. First the Little Caesar's now this Circle K that I purchase fuel from. The city police department needs to step up patrols in this area. The next business to get hit may very well be the one I work in.

No worries! Once the Mayor gets those round abouts in and all of the trees accounted for our town will be much safer!
