Water main break brings boil order in Buckley

BUCKLEY — The entire village of Buckley is under a boil order until further notice.

ERH Enterprises, a Westville-based company contracted to maintain and operate Buckley’s water system, issued the boil order about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a water main broke about 9 a.m.

“A large hole basically blew out of the side of the water main in front of the water plant,” said ERH’s Sean McBride. “We repaired a smaller leak there yesterday, and about 6 feet away from where the initial leak was repaired, it blew a larger hole out of the side of the main.”

ERH is working to repair the water main and hopes to have repairs completed by noon.
