Part of Fairchild Street closed for water main repairs

By The News-Gazette
DANVILLE - Aqua Illinois Water Company has announced that as a result of a water main leak just east of Danville High School, a portion of East Fairchild Street has been closed as of noon today.
The portion of East Fairchild Street closed to traffic starts at Washington Street and goes east to Kingdom Street, about a one-block section. Residents who live in the area can still access their homes using side streets, and the repairs to the water main will not affect water service to Danville High School.
Aqua Illinois officials anticipate the section of Fairchild Street opening later in the day on Thursday, after Aqua crews have repaired the water main and restored the street.
