40 North has redesigned website

CHAMPAIGN — 40 North 88 West, the Champaign County arts council, has launched a redesigned and updated website at 40North.org.

It offers a clean and contemporary look with interactive features for users, according to a news release from the council.

"The goal of the site is to be a comprehensive hub of any and all information relating to the creative community of Champaign County," the release states. "The central feature is an enhanced, interactive and searchable artist, organization and venue directory, with inter-graded search engine optimization."

Any county artist, venue or organization may create a custom profile page at http://www.40north.org, then upload up to three images and/or sound bites, links to a website and social media pages, an artist statement/bio and contact information.

Users also are able to submit events, calls for artists, job openings, auditions, or any other arts-related announcements.

Artists, venues and organizations are encouraged to add their profile to the directory.

"I honestly couldn't be more excited about our new website and the interactive directory," 40 North executive director Kelly White said. "It has been a long and challenging process, but providing a one-stop shop for information related to the arts of Champaign County is crucial to our mission and helps create a collective and powerful voice of this thriving arts community."
