Woman injured in Coles crash

MATTOON — A 25-year-old Mattoon woman was listed in fair condition Thursday afternoon after a one-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Coles County.

State police say Agnes M. Amarh was driving west on Illinois 316 about a half-mile west of Loxa Road at 8:05 a.m. Thursday when her vehicle went off the road for an unknown reason.

She over-corrected and went into a ditch on the north side of the road, rolling several times before stopping.

Amarh was taken first to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center and then airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where she was listed in fair condition.

She was ticketed for DUI and improper lane usage.
