Knife-wielding woman robs man on UI campus
CHAMPAIGN — A man was robbed early Sunday morning by a woman with a knife on the University of Illinois campus.
According to UI police, the man was walking at the northeast corner of Fourth and Chalmers streets at 3:05 a.m. Sunday when a woman holding a small folding knife approached him and asked for his wallet.
The man gave her his wallet and she left, walking east on Chalmers.
The woman is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with curly dark hair, wearing a polka dot shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack. She was described as having a growth or boil on her neck and may be homeless, police said.
