Paxton park board to decide in January on dog park

PAXTON — The board plans to decide in January whether to move forward with a proposed dog park at Coady Park.

Last weekend, the board met at Coady Park with a group of residents, known as the Paxton Dog Park Committee, who are requesting the dog park. While there, the two groups toured the park and discussed three options for the size of the fenced-in facility.

The board tentatively agreed the dog park would be located behind the tennis courts, but the facility's size remained undetermined. The board made plans to vote on the dog park's size — and put the proposal for the dog park up for a final vote — at its next monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
