No one hurt in Saturday night Danville house fire

DANVILLE — No one was hurt, but fire officials are still trying to determine what caused a fire that damaged a Danville home on Saturday night.

Firefighters found heavy flames showing from the back of the home at 614 Grant St. when they arrived around 8:45 p.m., said Danville fire Capt. Todd Spicer.

He said there was one occupant in the home when the fire began. That person was able to escape safely.

Firefighters had to call in additional units to extinguish the fire, Spicer said.

Property damage to the home was estimated at $60,000.
