CHAMPAIGN — A man was injured after a shooting in the 1500 block of Holly Hill Drive on Sunday night, but police say his injuries were non-life-threatening.
Police responded to the call in the Garden Hills neighborhood just before 8 p.m. on Sunday night. Police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said a 24-year-old man was hit, but that it was just a “grazing” and “nothing life threatening.”
Dunn said police were still investigating the incident on Sunday night.
Terale Miles lives next door to the home that was cordoned off with police tape. He said he was down the street when he heard gunshots.
Miles said police checked his property for evidence of gunshots.
“They just wanted to make sure nothing hit my house,” Miles said.
