Police seek man in connection with two shootings in Danville

DANVILLE — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a teenager wanted in connection with two shootings in Danville.

Police said that Antwanne M. Hall, 18, is wanted in connection with a shooting that took place in the 900 block of Moore Street shortly after 11 p.m. Jan. 17. Police said Hall is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

When officers were called to the 900 block of Moore Street to respond to a report of multiple shots fired in the area, they found an 18-year-old Danville man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The victim has since been treated and released.

Danville police said a warrant has been issued for Hall's arrest for aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.

In addition, Hall is also wanted in connection with the shooting of a 23-year-old Danville man in the 900 block of Redden Court in Danville on Dec. 20.

A warrant has been issued for Hall's arrest in that case for aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and robbery.

Persons with information about Hall's whereabouts are asked to call Danville police at 431-2250 or Vermilion County Crimestoppers at 446-TIPS.

  • "Persons with information about Hall's whereabouts are asked to call Danville police at 431-2250 or Vermilion County Crimestoppers at 446-TIPS." ???
  • So the NG found him, took his picture, and he left?
  • If so it would be one of those rare instances of actual reporting, (active journalism) as opposed to writing (we were told....), occasionally seen in the paper today; feel- good Sunday type stuff excluded.
