URBANA — A 21-year-old Rantoul man is expected to appear in court Friday afternoon in connection with an incident that police say broke a 2-year-old child's leg.
Dustin J. Riddle, who listed an address in the 0-100 block of Fountain Valley in Rantoul, is expected to appear in court on Friday on a warrant issued Wednesday.
A police report said Riddle was home with the 2-year-old and his 1-year-old brother while the children's mother was at work.
Riddle heard a commotion between the two, and after checking, allegedly picked the 2-year-old up by his hips, spun him around and forced him to the ground, all in one motion. Immediately, the child yelled and put his hand to his upper left leg.
The police report said the child's thigh-bone was broken.
