The located is about three miles south of Hindsboro.

Bennett said Mr. Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:38 a.m.

A release from the Coles County Sheriff’s Office said Mr. Simpson was driving a Ford pickup truck south on 1820 E when he lost control and ran off the road. The truck rolled over several times, throwing Mr. Simpson out in the process.

Bennett said no autopsy was planned because Mr. Simpson died of multiple traumatic injuries. Bennett said they would conduct toxicology tests. The deputy coroner did not know where Mr. Bennett was headed when the crash happened.
