Wind advisory issued for East Central Illinois

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for East Central Illinois from noon to 6 p.m. Monday.  Counties under the advisory include Champaign, Vermilion, Douglas, Edgar, Coles, Shelby, Moultrie, Piatt, Macon, DeWitt and McLean.

The weather service says the strongest winds are expected from noon until 5 p.m. on Monday.  Winds out of the south will gust up to 45 miles per hour.

So be careful if you're driving, especially on east-wst roads, and bring your outdoor items, like lawn furniture and trash cans inside so they don't blow away.
