Flood advisory issued for two area counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Ford and Iroquois Counties until 2 p.m. Monday.

The weather service said even though just light rain is in the forecast on Monday, the combination of Monday's rainfall, Sunday's rainfall and melting snow will cause stream and river levels to rise.  This could cause minor flooding of some rural roads.

So if you're driving and come upon a flooded roadway, you should turn around and find another route.
