Film, discussion set on dyslexia

URBANA — Linking Educators and Parents and the Rotary Club of Urbana are hosting a showing of the movie "Journey into Dyslexia" at 6:30 p.m. March 26 at the Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green St., U.

"Journey into Dyslexia" presents profiles of students and adults with dyslexia who share their experiences of struggling in school and then succeeding in life.

The evening will also include a discussion led by Topper Steinman and Leslie Sullivan.

The film and discussion will be of interest to teachers, guidance counselors, psychologists, and parents of children with reading and writing problems.

Continuing Professional Development Units are available through the regional office of education. Teachers should include their full names and the name of their schools when requesting them.
