Benefit dinner, auction planned for Georgetown man

DANVILLE — A benefit dinner and auction is being planned for a Georgetown man who has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

Ryan Irby underwent chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant at the end of February and the beginning of March in Indianapolis and is now home recovering.

The benefit will be from 3 to 7 p.m. April 20 at Sarge's Tap/Spanky's Banquet Hall, 409 E. Main St., Danville.

Donations in any amount will be accepted, and the proceeds will go to help offset Irby's medical bills and living expenses.

The Ryan Irby Fund also has been established at First Financial Bank in Westville.
