DANVILLE — Voters have another chance to meet candidates for Danville school board and hear their stance on the issues.
A third and final candidates' forum will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 2) at the Jackson Building, 516 N. Jackson St., Danville.
It is open to the public. However, space is limited, so seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Incumbents Randal Ashton, Dan Brown, Greg Hilleary and Frank Young and newcomers Johnnie Carey, Darlene Halloran, Lon Henderson, Phyllis Roth and David Woodrow are running for four open seats in the April 9 election. The top four vote-getters will serve a four-year term.
The forum is being sponsored by the district and the Danville Education Association. It is being organized by the Danville High School's government department and moderated by government students.
It will be more informal than the first forum, which was also organized by the students.
The forum will not be broadcast live. However, it will be recorded and replayed on Comcast's Channel 5 at the following times and dates:
— 2, 5:30 and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
— 2 and 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
— 8:30 and 10 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.
