DANVILLE — Papa Murphy's Pizza in Danville is sponsoring a pizza giveaway on April 17 to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Danville.

The fund raiser will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at the store, 3100 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Owner Kim Fields will give a free large, one-topping pizza to the first 300 people who come in and donate at least $2 to the club. Larger donations also will be accepted.

People must be at least 16 years old to get a pizza.

Rob Gifford, the Boys & Girls Club executive director, and another staff member will be on hand to greet customers and provide them with literature about the club. The club provides arts, character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills and sports, fitness and recreation programs to youth, ages 6 to 18, during the late afternoon and early evening hours.
